Private healthcare FAQs
Going private can be confusing. We’re here to help you understand private healthcare, costs, and what to expect.
Appointments and your care
Everything you need to know before, during and after your appointment.
You'll receive a confirmation email or letter when your appointment is booked. A text reminder is usually sent 48 hours before your appointment, providing the details you need to attend.
This will depend on the treatment you've received. Your consultant or healthcare team will let you know whether a follow-up appointment is recommended and when it should take place.
Visiting our hospitals
Information about facilities, visitors and what to expect during your visit.
Yes. Free WiFi is available for patients and visitors at our hospitals.
NHS and private healthcare
Understanding how private healthcare works alongside NHS services.
Yes. Some outpatient appointments and some admissions can take place at the weekend. Times will vary depending on the type of treatment you are having.
If you want to have a weekend appointment, we are more likely to meet your wishes if you can be flexible about the hospital location.
At Circle Health Group we treat NHS patients with the same premium level of care as our private patients, at no extra cost. You will be seen by a consultant personally, who will care for you throughout your treatment.
Costs and payment
Questions about treatment costs, quotes and payment options.
We have three options to pay for treatment:
If you had an initial consultation and the consultant has recommended further treatment, you can get a quote by phoning the hospital directly.
Most treatments that are medically necessary will be covered by medical insurance subject to the specific policy, however there are some elective procedures that may not be covered by insurance such as cosmetic surgery, obesity surgery and varicose veins treatment.
You should always check with your insurer first to see what your policy covers. If the treatment you need is not covered by your medical insurance then you may choose to pay for yourself.
For your convenience, we offer various ways to pay your bill:
